Welcome to the Book Club for Lewisburg's Fifth Grade!

We are about to embark on a journey. A journey through the pages of books. You might find it adventurous, or humurous, scary, and maybe even suspensful, but rest assured you will enjoy the venture. Hang on for the ride that will take you everywhere but you won't have to leave the room...

Caught in the Act

Howloooo boys and girls!  I hope you have all been having a great spring break!  But I hope you have all been rrrrrreading too!  I have been working so hard to beat you all reading this break that I am even reading in bed at night!  Mom caught me last night...I was reading A Dog Needs a Bone by Audrey Wood.  Wow, that is exactly how I feel...every dog needs his bone!  The characters are so cute in this book and the narrator tells the story exactly from the point of view of a real dog!  I think that is why I like it best.

So tell me about what you are reading...what do you like best about your book so far?  What are the characters like?  Where is your story taking place?  Is there anything that you have been doing over break that you can connect to your book?

I had a bone for lunch today that really reminded me of my story.  I kept "begging" mom for a bone shaped dog biscuit and then when I made her laugh, she gave me one!  Oh by the way...Andrea A.  my favorite dog treats are the peanut butter flavored ones!  *pant, pant*

I know you all are reading...you all have had such nice things to say on our blog and the book discussions on Island of the Blue Dolphins has been very interesting.  I have learned a lot from you hounds!  I am however still waiting for one of you smart pups to tell me what plot is...mom won't tell me...

Keep up the pawesome work and I will see you back here again.  It won't be long and I will be ready for my next book!  Bark back soon!

Your pawl,
Harley
